Welcome to the Cherryville Arts Festival,held on the second weekend of August annually, showcasing art & culture in Cherryville; with a special small-community atmosphere & charm, set in the beauty of the foothills of the Monashee Mountains. Featuring the:
Glass Tree - Judy DeBoer: Funky stained glass sun-catchers.
Handwoven Brilliance - Stevie-Ann Jukes & Barbara Loeppky: Handwoven clothing & houseware, in a rainbow of vibrant colours including thick, thirsty towels and soft, luxurious scarves - all in natural fibres.
Inkyspider Designs - Morgen Bardati: Textile artist & clothing desiner, working in a mixed media of surface design techniques on t-shirts, houseware, scarves & garments.
Knobby Knuckles - Shiel:Handwovens including ponchos, scarves, other garments and accessories, garlic baskets. Made in the Shade greeting cards. Demonstrating weaving on site.
Ladybug Creations - Maegan Lauze: Beadwork; plus fresh lemon-aid.
Made in Edgewood - Colette Beaulieu: Handwoven Birch bark baskets, juggling sticks, Dream Pillows, Moon Pads (washable sanitary pads), massage oil, salve, Bath Bags, crocheted pouches. Plus flowers, produce, wreaths, garlic breads, twig brooms, etc.
Red Dog Glass Studio - Helen Kovacs: Original glassworks, glass & steel furniture and sculptures, jewellery featuring handmade beads, flameworked by Helen, using Italian glass. Demonstrating bead making on site.
Rob Whiskin & Connor Whiskin: Gold & silver wire jewellery and beaded jewellery.
Ron's Furniture & Woodturning - Ron & Sandy Jones: Wooden bowls, cutting boards, Lazy Susans, spoons, furniture, plus other items made from wood. Also some stone-turned products. Demonstrating wood-turning with lathe on site.
Shoestring Studio - Bob Harrold: Original watercolour paintings on hand-textured paper - artwork and cards. Bob will be demonstrating at his booth.
SnuckleSaks - Jen deBourcier: Beautiful fabric, sling-style baby carriers designed with practicality in mind. Jen's version of the perfect sling.
Whovianart - Joseph Cassidy: Limited laser-carved editions, hand-drawn and hand-painted return tops ("Yo-yo" is trademarked in Canada); limited edition hand-painted prints.
Healing Arts
Healing Body Work - Michelle Saurette: Sit-age & table massage. 12 years experience. "I include mind, body & spirit awareness in all healing;.and believe that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." Plus various handmade merchandise & herbal teas grown by Michelle in her Cherryville garden.
9:30am-10:30am Edsel Fleury: Local gypsy opens the show with a blast from the past and some fresh tastes too.
11:00am-11:30am Brian Farquhar: Another local gypsy (& performance director - Thanks Brian!) hits the stage.
12:00 noon-12:30pm Mountain Mama Trio: Celia Adkins, Heather Fleury & Shoshanna Godber. Cherryvillan beauties with angelic harmonies & tunes.
1:00pm-1:45pm Backwoods: Greg Harvey, Clint Harvey, Matt McIntyre & Debbee. Classic Rock sound with some originals.
3:30pm-4:30pm Panacea: Jazz-Funk fusion touring band from Montreal drops in on The Ville.
5:00pm-6:00pm Dominique Fraissard: Returns to Cherryville from Australia after 13 years, while on his Canadian tour.

1:00pm-2:00pm Ash: Trio of veteran musicians reunited to explore the musical realm as an acoustic band. These three journeymen formerly played together in the North Okanagan in the Silver Hills Band.
2:30pm-3:30pm Blithely Reekin': Folk group featuring standard and original material, with a focus on Okanagan history, people and places, along with original children songs for that child in all of us.
4:00pm-4:45pm Brian Farqhuar leads an Open Jam

The Lodge Inn Retreat presents a site specific sound collage on the grounds of the Lodge Inn Retreat at 63 Begbie Road during the Cherryville Arts Festival.
Cherryville Sound designer/eclectic producer, Randall J. Fox will create a sound painting in the forest using found instruments (tree trunks, the earth), acoustic instruments and digital instruments. The music will move around the forest with many unusual surprises and mysteries. Come enjoy a local organic supper after this unique sonic performance.
